I love homemade equivalents to store-bought items, but only if they’re easy!
Oh sure, I’ve been known to experiment with all kinds of things (like making my own mozzarella cheese and worcestershire sauce). I’ll try anything once but the only recipes that get made over and over again are the ones that are straightforward and quick.
This hot chocolate mix fits the bill. In 15 minutes you can whip up a huge batch of instant happiness.
It’s cheaper than buying it in the supermarkets and you control the quality of the ingredients. It also makes great gifts. All you need are a few basic things: milk powder, white chocolate bars, cocoa powder and sugar.

Throw these ingredients in a food processor and mix! If your food processor is small, you may have to do this in two batches.
Now simply heat up some milk, whisk in 1/3 cup of hot chocolate mix and enjoy!
Wasn’t that easy?
