Finding activities for kids to do in the winter can sometimes be challenging so our family was excited to discover Swing Gyms in the Grote Pyr building (on the Waldeck Pyrmontkade) in The Hague.
Not only did we find swings inside but also balls to throw around, tunnels to crawl through and big mats to jump on. Coffee, tea and juice are available in an adjoining kitchen. For €5/kid, it’s incredibly good value.
We’re still in the “toddler” category so we go during the Toddler Swing (Peuterswinggym) sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings (from 9:30-11:30) but the organisers — the Bewegingslaboratorium — also hold workshops for older kids at other times and can organise Swing Gyms for special events like birthday parties.
Where to find it: In the old gymnasium of the Grote Pyr. Waldeck Pyrmontkade 115, Den Haag (opposite the Elandstraat Tram 3 stop).
