Appeltje Eitje's Appeltaart

Ingredients
  

  • About 2kg goudreinetten apples Belle de Boskop is the English name for this variety
  • 1 egg
  • 310 g brown sugar
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 550 g self-rising flour
  • 10 g cinnamon
  • 2 handfuls raisins
  • 10 kg of love

Method
 

  1. Melt the butter and mix it with the flour, egg, 200g brown sugar and the caster sugar until crumbly.
  2. Grease a springform pan and put 2/3 of the dough in the pan.
  3. Peel, core and chop the apples.
  4. Mix the apples with the rest of the brown sugar, the cinnamon and the raisins. Put in the springform pan and press down firmly.
  5. Sprinkle over the rest of the dough, along with all of your love.
  6. Let the appeltaart bake for about 1 hour at 175ÂșC. Easy peasy!
